The LEO App: Celebrating 100,000 Downloads

May 5, 2020

Many years ago, at Leger, we learned that the majority of our panelists preferred answering surveys on the Internet, rather than over the phone. In 2004, Leger created a large panel of Internet users called Legerweb, which grew to over 400,000 members and became the largest proprietary panel in Canada.

2019 was our year of reinvention: over the course of the year, we completely redesigned Legerweb for the benefit of our clients and members and changed its name to LEO (Leger Opinion).

2019 also marked the birth of our LEO app!

In September 2019, we launched a Quebec-wide promotional campaign for our LEO app, and in March 2020, we rolled out the campaign across CanadaIt appeared on public transit (buses, trains, subways, train stations, bus shelters), online, and on social media (which included a collaboration with Canadian content creators). See the campaign here

As of May 5, 2020the app has been downloaded more than 100,000 times!

Today, we want to take the opportunity to extend a heartfelt thank you to our LEO members across Canada and the United States. Without you, LEO would not be what it is!

How does the LEO app work?

The LEO app is particularly useful for reaching out to millennials and keeping them interested (and other groups too!). With a simple push notification, we can send your survey to the group you want to reach. Using the app on their mobile devices, members can respond to surveys and share their opinions anywhere, anytime, on any topic. To thank them for their time, they receive LEO points, which can be redeemed for a variety of rewards. They also earn chances to participate in our monthly contests for each survey they complete

In addition, members can use the LEO-exclusive Love, Hate, Rate feature to share their opinions about anything.
