Leger has extensive expertise in the field of transportation, especially mass transit. Mass transit is an intrinsic part of any sustainable development approach and depends in part on public investment; it is therefore a societal choice that requires public consultations to determine which projects should get the go-ahead.
For nearly 30 years, Leger has been helping transport agencies conduct surveys on commuting habits and behaviour in order to better meet the needs of their ridership.
For instance, Leger is proud to have conducted the three most recent Origin-Destination (O-D) surveys for the Montreal region. The O-D Survey provides an overview of the commutes made by residents of Greater Montreal, all modes of transportation combined. Conducted over the span of a few months with nearly 80,000 households, the O-D Survey is the second largest survey of its kind, after the census.
