Dr. Terry Flynn is one of Canada\u2019s leading public relations\/communications management researchers. Following a 20-year communications consulting career, Terry joined the faculty of McMaster University. During his professional career, he built an international practice specializing in crisis and risk communications and public\/community engagement.<\/p>\n
Terry\u2019s scholarly work has been published in the Journal of Public Relations Review, Public Relations Journal, Canadian Journal of Communication, Corporate Communications, the IPR Research Journal, and the Journal of Professional Communications. Terry has also been recognized by the Association for Educators in Journalism and Mass Communications and the Arthur W. Page Society.<\/p>\n
In 2015, he was given the prestigious Philip A. Novikoff Award by the CPRS for superior contributions to the profession\u2019s advancement in Canada and throughout the world. Terry is currently on the faculty of the Department of Communication Studies & Multimedia at McMaster University where he founded Canada\u2019s first and only Master of Communications Management degree program in 2007 and is currently the Executive Director of the program.<\/p>\n
