He is M\u00e9tis from the M\u00e9tis Nation of the Red River Valley. Raised in Winnipeg\u2019s inner city, Daniel earned his BA Honours from the University of Winnipeg in 2007, and his Ph.D. from UBC in 2015.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n His research agenda focuses on the political relationships between Indigenous peoples, particularly in southern Manitoba.
