We look at that data and how consumers feel about their lives, and more importantly, their savings and investments.\u201d<\/p>\n<h2>About the Study<\/h2>\n<p>Leger\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/leger360.com\/north-american-tracker\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">North American Tracker<\/a> is a monthly quantitative survey of 1,000+ U.S. (and Canadian) consumers aged 18 or over. \u00a0Our team of market researchers evaluates and analyzes the data from the North American Tracker to reveal the most current consumer sentiments and behaviors.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h2>Consumer Sentiment: Optimism Persists<\/h2>\n<p>Consumers continue to be optimistic about their lives overall, primarily driven by positive sentiments about their health and less so by their finances. With the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/agenda\/2023\/04\/us-economy-could-get-worse-before-it-gets-better-growth-summit\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">World Economic forum recently reporting<\/a> that \u201cthe U.S. economy could get worse before it gets better,\u201d relatively lower levels of financial optimism may continue.\u00a0<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>63% of American consumers are optimistic about their current life overall.<\/li>\n<li>Current mental health optimism is high (67%) as is physical health optimism (63%).<\/li>\n<li>On the other hand, financial optimism is lower (52%).\n<ul>\n<li>Unsurprisingly, finance-related items top the list of U.S. consumers\u2019 3 biggest concerns: inflation, the U.S. economy, and rising gas prices (71%, 65%, and 33%, respectively).\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>The U.S. Economy: Impacting Mental Health to Some Extent<\/h2>\n<p>This month, we explored the relationship between U.S. consumers\u2019 financial situations and their mental health.
