This month, our survey was conducted between March 23 and 25, 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/5233025.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/5233025\/Legers%20North%20American%20Tracker-U.S.-%20March%2027th%202024%20REVISED%20EC.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/leger360.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Web_tracker_rapport-1-1.jpg\" width=\"375\" height=\"227\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Web_tracker_rapport-1\" style=\"height: auto; max-width: 100%; width: 375px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; display: block;\"><\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #ed1c24;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/5233025.fs1.hubspotusercontent-na1.net\/hubfs\/5233025\/Legers%20North%20American%20Tracker-U.S.-%20March%2027th%202024%20REVISED%20EC.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\" style=\"text-decoration: underline; color: #ed1c24;\">Download the report to learn more.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Some of the key highlights of our survey about the economy and American politics include\u2026<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">More than half (59%) of U.S. residents think the United States is currently in a recession, a three-point increase since last month.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Four U.S. residents out of ten (40%) describe their household&#8217;s finances as poor (28%) or very poor (12%).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">More than half of U.S. residents (57%) say they are living paycheck to paycheck, an increase of 2 points compared to February 2024 (55%).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">41% of U.S. residents who are currently employed are concerned about losing their job in the next 12 months.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 style=\"font-weight: normal;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Some of the key highlights of our survey about <br \/>American politics\u2026<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Trump is taking the lead in voting intentions. If the Presidential election were to be held today, Trump would secure 48% of the votes, while Biden would secure 43%.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Ron DeSantis (22%) would be the preferred candidate to be Donald Trump&#8217;s vice president running mate if he receives his party\u2019s nomination.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Nearly one-third of Americans (31%) think that Donald Trump should be the Republican candidate, even if he is convicted and imprisoned. This number is significantly higher among republican voters (60%).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Seven out of ten Republicans (70%) would vote for Donald Trump even if he were found guilty and imprisoned.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">One-third of U.S. residents (33%) think the 2024 presidential elections will take place peacefully, while 67% think there will be disturbances, protests, and civil disobedience. Republicans are more likely to think the election will be peaceful (46%).<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">More than half of U.S. residents disapprove of Joe Biden&#8217;s job as president (53%), while one-third approves (31%).<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Every month, we conduct a survey of U.S. residents to explore their views on the economy, finances, and the government.
