La marge d&rsquo;erreur ou le degr\u00e9 de pr\u00e9cision souhait\u00e9;<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>\u00a0<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div>2. Le degr\u00e9 ou intervalle de confiance souhait\u00e9.<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est important de savoir que pour un m\u00eame intervalle de confiance, plus la taille de notre \u00e9chantillon augmente, plus la marge d&rsquo;erreur diminue, ce qui est d\u00e9sirable. Par contre,\u00a0la loi des rendements d\u00e9croissants s&rsquo;applique ici : au-del\u00e0 d&rsquo;un certain seuil, l&rsquo;augmentation de la taille de l&rsquo;\u00e9chantillon n&rsquo;entra\u00eenera qu&rsquo;une l\u00e9g\u00e8re diminution de la marge d&rsquo;erreur. Augmenter drastiquement le nombre de r\u00e9pondants d\u00e8s que nous en avons 1000 n&rsquo;apporte peu d&rsquo;avantages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il peut toutefois \u00eatre n\u00e9cessaire d\u2019aller bien au-del\u00e0 de ce chiffre si l&rsquo;un de nos objectifs de recherche est d\u2019obtenir un taux de fiabilit\u00e9 statistique important pour des sous-groupes de notre \u00e9chantillon. Par exemple, un \u00e9chantillon de 1000 personnes aura une marge d&rsquo;erreur maximale de \u00b13,1%, 19 fois sur 20 (\u00e0 condition que la population de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence soit consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme statistiquement infinie).
