La r\u00e9cente vague de violence arm\u00e9e aux \u00c9tats-Unis a raviv\u00e9 les discussions des gouvernements am\u00e9ricains et canadiens sur le contr\u00f4le des armes \u00e0 feu. Dans l\u2019actualit\u00e9 canadienne, la Colombie-Britannique a r\u00e9cemment annonc\u00e9 son intention de d\u00e9criminaliser<\/strong> de petites quantit\u00e9s de drogues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Compte tenu de ce qui pr\u00e9c\u00e8de, notre dernier Tracker nord-am\u00e9ricain explore le point de vue des Canadiens et des Am\u00e9ricains sur le contr\u00f4le des armes \u00e0 feu<\/strong> et la violence arm\u00e9e<\/strong>. Nous avons \u00e9galement explor\u00e9 leurs opinions sur la crise des opio\u00efdes ainsi que sur la l\u00e9gislation<\/strong> et la d\u00e9criminalisation<\/strong> de ces drogues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CONTR\u00d4LE DES ARMES \u00c0 FEU<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
  • 68% des Canadiens et 88% des Am\u00e9ricains croient que la violence par armes \u00e0 feu<\/strong> est un grave probl\u00e8me dans leur pays.<\/li>
  • 62% des Canadiens et 64% des Am\u00e9ricains croient que le contr\u00f4le des armes \u00e0 feu devrait \u00eatre plus strict <\/strong>dans leur pays.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    LA CRISE DES OPIO\u00cfDES<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
    • 36% des Canadiens et 29% des Am\u00e9ricains sont favorables \u00e0 la d\u00e9criminalisation <\/strong>des drogues dures dans leur province\/\u00c9tat. Une plus faible proportion (25% des Canadiens et 21% des Am\u00e9ricains) est favorable \u00e0 la l\u00e9galisation<\/strong> de ces drogues.<\/li>
    • 29% des Canadiens et 30% des Am\u00e9ricains pensent que leur province\/\u00c9tat fait un bon travail<\/strong> dans leur gestion de la crise des opio\u00efdes.<\/strong>\u00a0 Une proportion plus faible croit que leur gouvernement f\u00e9d\u00e9ral fait un bon travail (24% des Canadiens et 23% des Am\u00e9ricains).<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      M\u00c9THODOLOGIE DU SONDAGE\u00a0<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Sondage web r\u00e9alis\u00e9 du 10 au 12 juin aupr\u00e8s de 1 528 Canadiens et 1 006 Am\u00e9ricains, \u00e2g\u00e9s de 18 ans ou plus, recrut\u00e9s al\u00e9atoirement \u00e0 partir du panel en ligne LEO. Une marge d\u2019erreur ne peut pas \u00eatre associ\u00e9e \u00e0 un \u00e9chantillon non probabiliste dans le cadre d\u2019un sondage par panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \u00c0 des fins de comparaison, un \u00e9chantillon probabiliste de 1 528 r\u00e9pondants aurait une marge d\u2019erreur de \u00b1 2,5%, alors qu\u2019un \u00e9chantillon de 1 006 r\u00e9pondants en aurait une de \u00b13,09%, et ce, 19 fois sur 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
