The Trade and Tariff War: Intentions to Boycott and PM Performance Evaluation

Leger conducted a study among the Canadian population in order to evaluate their likelihood to change some behaviours when it comes to buying products from the USA or travelling South, and on Canadians’ evaluation of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s performance in dealing with the US President Donald Trump.

The web panel survey was conducted from July 6th to 10th, 2018 among a representative sample of 1,511 English and French-speaking Canadians, 18 years of age or older, using the LegerWeb Panel.

Using data from Statistics Canada, results were weighted according to gender, age, region, mother tongue, education and presence of minor children in the household in order to ensure a representative sample of the entire population under review.
