The Truth on Honesty

A majority of Canadians (56%) admit having committed more or less dishonest acts. However, among them, only 3% concede having given false information on their income tax return and 2% on an insurance claim. A proportion of 28% admit they took advantage of a pricing error when purchasing an item, 23% took advantage of a mistake at the store’s check out counter, 19% cheated when writing an exam and 12% lied to improve their profile. It should be noted that 27% of Canadians surveyed did not know what to answer to this question and 17% refused to answer.
