In collaboration with The Atlantic, Leger regularly surveys Americans about a variety of topical issues and current events. From July 30 to August 1, 2021, we explored their perspectives about voter IDs.

  • Whether they have government-issued photo ID
  • If congress should prioritize expanding access to voting, protecting against voter fraud, or a balance of the two
  • Their position on voting rules
  • Their position on the creation of a national ID card

SURVEY METHODOLOGY

This web survey was conducted from July 30, 2021 to August 1, 2021 among 1,001 Americans, 18 years of age or older, randomly recruited from Leger’s online panel, LEO.

For comparison, a probability sample of this size would have a margin of error of ±3.09%, 19 times out of 20.
