  • In the past 12 months, 68% of Canadians have used social media (Facebook, Instagram, X, etc.) to get information about their municipality’s activities and announcements.
  • 13% have commented negatively about their city administration on social media and 12% have shared negative comments.​
  • 12% have used social media to contact their municipality directly or report a problem and 34% of them find their municipality not responsive enough.
