Leger Announces Acquisition of CUBE AI

March 12, 2024

Montreal, March 12, 2024 – Leger, the largest Canadian-owned market research and analytics firm, is excited to announce the acquisition of 51% of the shares of Cube AI, a leading-edge remote AI-driven advertising test platform.

The Cube AI solution, developed by Neil Fleischer alongside Professors Sylvain Senecal and Jacques Robert from HEC/University of Montreal, revolutionizes the measurement of advertising effectiveness. By harnessing the power of artificial intelligence, this innovative application offers precise metrics on attention, emotion, facial recognition, and eye-tracking. Cube AI’s biometric data combined with traditional respondent-level data and statistically valid norms from Leger’s highly reputable panel provides unique insights that allow our clients to make better advertising decisions.

Jean-Marc Leger, President of Leger said “The acquisition of Cube AI aligns with the company’s strategic plan to incorporate artificial intelligence into Leger’s processes. This new advertising test solution aims to provide clients with richer insights, more efficiently and cost-effectively.”

The partnership between Leger and Cube AI began in 2022, with Leger initially investing in Cube AI as a minority shareholder. This collaboration has flourished over time, culminating in Leger’s decision to take a majority stake, reflecting a shared commitment to pioneering the future of market research. Neil Fleischer will continue as CEO of the new Leger Division, with Professors Sylvain Senecal and Jacques Robert remaining as shareholders and serving on the company’s Board. Professor Jacques Nantel will also join the Cube AI Board.

Cube AI’s co-founder and CEO, Neil Fleischer, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “Joining forces with Leger represents an exciting new chapter for Cube AI. With Leger’s extensive market reach and expertise, we are poised to bring our remote user-testing solutions to a wider audience, enhancing the way companies connect with their customers.”

The acquisition cements Leger as a leader in integrating artificial intelligence into market research. Leger’s clients will now have access to a more comprehensive understanding of their customers’ experiences, leveraging both traditional survey data and biometric insights provided by Cube AI’s platform.

Leger and Cube AI are enthusiastic about the future, anticipating that this partnership will spur further innovation in market research and the development of new AI solutions.
