Quebec Voting Intentions: A Close Race

With two days to go before the election, the Parti Québécois remains in the lead with 29% of voting intentions, ahead of the Quebec Liberal Party at 25% and the Conservative Party of Quebec at 20%.

Key Highlights

  • The PQ holds a significant lead among Francophone voters. It has 35% support among Francophone voters, 16 points ahead of the CPQ at 19%. 

  • The desire for change has reached 77%. More than three-quarters of Quebecers want a change in government and a new party to lead Quebec, up three points since September 28. 

  • The CPQ has reached 20% of voting intentions. Éric Duhaime’s party is up two points since September 28 and now sits five points behind the QLP.

Methodology

This online survey was conducted from September 30 to October 1, 2026, among 1,000 Quebec residents aged 18 or older who are eligible to vote. Results were weighted by age, gender, mother tongue, region, education and the presence of children in the household. For comparison purposes, a probability sample of this size would have a margin of error of no more than ±3.10%, 19 times out of 20.
