A Year in Review: Our 2019 Successes

December 19, 2019

At Leger, we’re proud of our successes this year. Before we begin a new decade, we’re taking a moment to look back on our 2019 achievements.

Thank you to our dedicated employees, our valued clients, and all of the Canadians and Americans who participated in our telephone and online surveys: without all of you, our work would not be possible.

In 2019…

WE WERE THE MOST ACCURATE POLLING FIRM FOR THE 2019 FEDERAL ELECTION

Canadians voted in Canada’s federal election on October 21, 2019. In the weeks before election day, Leger ran a series of polls to understand Canadians’ voting intentions. We were the most accurate polling firm, which speaks to the quality of our LEO panel and the expertise of our 600 employees across Canada and the United States. Learn more here.

WE LAUNCHED LEGER OPINION (LEO), INCLUDING THE BRAND NEW LEO MOBILE APP

This year, we completely redesigned our Legerweb panel for the benefit of our clients. With a new decade comes a new name: Legerweb is now known as Leger Opinion (aka LEO). We also redesigned the LEO website and launched a brand new app for our LEO community members. The LEO app is available on Android and Apple and allows members to complete surveys anytime, anywhere. WE CONDUCTED A TOTAL OF 5,626,037 ONLINE SURVEYS AND 249,523 TELEPHONE SURVEYS

In addition to these success stories, we also focused on happiness at work this year through the following…

2019 SYMPOSIUM

From May 29 – 31, 2019, Leger hosted a symposium for its employees at Mont Tremblant’s Pedestrian Village. The symposium was an excellent opportunity for our employees from all offices to come together to share successes and to develop new solutions to meet organizational objectives. The theme of the symposium was “Happy Camper,” reflecting Leger’s mandate to be a pioneer in workplace happiness following the acquisition of the Leger Happiness Index at Work (LHI-W) in 2018. LAUNCH OF THE EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION PROGRAM AND PENSION PLAN

Our employee recognition program, launched in early 2019, is focused on recognizing our employees’ hard work through concrete actions that foster commitment, creating a positive work environment, and creating a culture of recognition. Our employees are valuable resources whose dedication and loyalty should be recognized. The recognition program includes a welcome kit, free coffee/tea at work, fruit baskets, Lunch and Learn seminars, happy hours, sports activities, team building activities, a Christmas Party, and a variety of special activities during Human Resources week.

We also launched our company pension plan this year, which is an exciting development for our employees!

PROFIT SHARING PROGRAM (PSP)

We proudly introduced our Profit Sharing Program (PSP) for employees in 2019.  Through the PSP, we gave all of our eligible full-time employees a profit-based bonus for our last fiscal year.  Our dedicated employees are critical for our continued success.

ON BEHALF OF LEGER, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL! WE LOOK FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU AND ACHIEVING NEW GOALS IN 2020!
