Leger Launches New Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Initiatives

8 March 2021

At Leger, we strive for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) for all.  Collectively, we know that true inclusion is important for innovation and the prosperity of our employees, our research participants and our clients.  By working together to ensure that we have a culture where everyone is respected, we harness our diversity as a community, we develop better ideas and help our employees grow, we nurture respectful workplaces, and we ensure our company’s continued growth.

While our commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion are not new, we are pleased to share that we are increasing our focus on these principles so we can create opportunities that empower our people to grow and achieve more.

WE HAVE IMPLEMENTED 5 NEW DIVERSITY, EQUITY AND INCLUSION INITIATIVES

1. Appointment of a New DEI Leader

This leader will be responsible for working with all of Leger’s departments and leaders, ensuring we stay focused on infusing DEI into our programs and activities. They will track our progress, and communicate progress updates.

2. Launch of the Respectful Workplace Committee

Leger’s newly-formed Respectful Workplace Committee, comprised of our senior leaders, will oversee our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy and our Respectful Workplace Policy.

3. Improvements and Updates to Our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Policy

This policy is forward-looking and outlines our priorities and commitments, confirming that we strive to create an environment that values and respects individuals for their talents, skills, and abilities.

4. Improvements and Updates to our Respectful Workplace Policy

This policy confirms that all employees have the right to be treated fairly, respectfully, and with dignity in a workplace free from harassment, and they are responsible for treating others in the same manner.

5. Implementation of an Annual DEI Survey

To monitor our success in creating a culture that embraces diversity, equity and inclusion, we are establishing an annual survey of all our employees about DEI. The insights from this feedback will be put into action to help us evolve.

Together, we embrace diverse perspectives, recognizing the value of diversity of thought in challenging the status quo.
