Safety and War: A WIN Survey

Recently, the Worldwide Independent Network of Market Research (WIN International), of which Leger is a founding member, conducted 19,422 surveys worldwide to explore perspectives on safety and war.

KEY HIGHLIGHTS: WIN SURVEY ON SAFETY AND WAR

  • If there were a war that involved their country, 45% of respondents would be willing to fight (including 32% of Canadians).
  • 64% of respondents think Russia is responsible for the military hostilities/war in Ukraine (including 89% of Canadians).
  • 44% of respondents are confident in the quality of the information they find about the Russia-Ukraine hostilities/war in the media in their country (including 64% of Canadians).
  • 40% of respondents are confident in the quality of information they receive about the Russia-Ukraine hostilities/war from the public authorities in their country (including 63% of Canadians).

SURVEY METHODOLOGY

From April 1 to May 5, 2022, 19,422 people from 24 countries were surveyed using CAWI/CATI/CAPI/TAPI online survey methods. Leger was responsible for data collection in Canada.
