Three weeks before the Quebec election, the race is shifting behind the Parti Québécois. The PQ remains in first place with 29% of the vote among decided voters, while the Parti libéral du Québec moves into second place at 23%. The Coalition Avenir Québec drops two points to 21%, while the Parti conservateur du Québec rises to 17%, its highest result measured to date.

The CAQ falls to third place as the Fréchette effect shows signs of fading
After reaching 24% at the end of August, the CAQ fell to 23% on September 7 and now sits at 21%. It is therefore two points behind the PLQ. This movement is accompanied by declines on several measures related to Christine Fréchette: 19% of Quebecers say she would make the best premier, down four points, while 16% say she has run the best campaign over the past seven days, down five points.
Methodology
This online survey was conducted from September 10 to 13, 2026, among 1,013 Quebec respondents aged 18 or older who are eligible to vote. Results were weighted by age, gender, mother tongue, region, education and the presence of children in the household. For comparison purposes, a probability sample of this size would have a maximum margin of error of ±3.08%, 19 times out of 20.
