Our latest survey on voting intentions in Quebec shows an electorate that is beginning to settle on its choices, while the balance of support between the parties continues to tighten.

The CAQ rises to 23% (+3), tying the PLQ for second place, while the PCQ reaches 16% (+3).

The PLQ slips slightly to 23% (-1), while Québec solidaire falls to 7% (-4).

Vote certainty is increasing: 53% of decided voters say their choice is final, up 5 points since August 11.

Despite that increase, the election remains wide open: second-choice support is split, with the PLQ at 16%, the PQ and CAQ at 15%, the PCQ at 12%, and QS at 10%.
The PQ continues to hold the lead, but the CAQ’s gains are tightening the race for second place and re-establishing it as a real alternative to the PLQ. More broadly, the current dynamics suggest that voters are starting to make up their minds, but no clear scenario has taken shape yet. At this stage, several parties could still benefit from shifts in support over the coming weeks.
Methodology
This online survey was conducted from August 21 to 24, 2026, among 1,010 Quebec residents aged 18 and over who are eligible to vote. Respondents were randomly recruited from Leger’s LEO online panel. The results were weighted by age, gender, mother tongue, region, education, and the presence of children in the household.
For comparison purposes, a probability sample of this size would have a maximum margin of error of ±3.08%, 19 times out of 20.
