In collaboration with The Atlantic, Leger regularly surveys Americans about a variety of topical issues and current events. From July 1-3, 2022, we explored their perspectives about the overturning of Roe v. Wade.

This survey asked Americans:

  • if they agree with the overturning of Roe v. Wade
  • the extent to which they trust the U.S. Supreme Court, given its recent decision to overturn Roe v. Wade
  • whether the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision has made them reconsider where they live
  • whether they would move if their state banned abortion or prosecuted people for seeking abortion care
  • and more

SURVEY METHODOLOGY

This web survey was conducted from July 1 to 3, 2022, among 1,001 Americans, 18 years of age or older, randomly recruited from Leger’s online panel, LEO.

For comparison, a probability sample of this size would have a margin of error of ±3.09%, 19 times out of 20.
